Shark facts:
Sharks are very interesting fish with a lot of unique features. Most shark are very curious and swim close to the things they find interesting in order to check it out. You will see that a lot when they swim in giant aquariums, a lot of sneak peaking through the glass.
They are colorblind and see everything in black and white. They are great swimmers and have to stay in motion in order to breath. If you turn a small shark onto it’s belly, he slides in a trance right away and starts sleeping. Also touching the nose of a little bit too nosy shark can make them come further out of the water, laying their head back and open their mouth, and leave afterwards. Very special to see this behavior on video!
The Scientific Name of the great white shark is Carcharodon carcharias. They are carnivores and can become 15 feet to more than 20 feet! They weigh up to 2,5 tons or more. Found in cool, coastal waters around the world, great white sharks are the largest predatory fish on Earth. The great white shark gets his name form the white underbelly. In their mouths they have up to 300 triangular teeth arranged in several rows, and they have an exceptional sense of smell to detect a prey.
